We sell pedal karts for the garden, but plenty of families also want a day at a real track. In October 2026 we checked karting venues across the island on their own websites. This page lists the 17 we could confirm, the minimum age and height each sets for children, the venues we could not confirm and the ones that have closed.
Venues change their rules, hours and prices. Check with the venue before you travel, and tell us if anything here is out of date.

Competitive karting is run by Motorsport Ireland in the Republic, which says karting caters for competitors from six years and upwards, with a junior licence covering ages 6 to 16. In Northern Ireland it is Motorsport UK, whose Bambino class starts at the sixth birthday.
Most venues want drivers of at least 8 and around 130 cm. Before that, a pedal kart at home is where steering and braking are learned. BERG rates its Buddy from age 3, and our karts start at €299. The age guide matches a kart to the child.
Each venue sets its own minimum. Of the venues we checked, most take solo drivers from about 8, and most that set a height want somewhere between 120 and 137 cm. A few run electric karts for younger children: Raceview in Ballymena from 4, KartSport in Ballymoney from 4. WhiteRiver Park in Louth takes no rental drivers under 14.
Non-Stop Karting in Waterford has karts to suit children from age 5. In Northern Ireland, Raceview in Ballymena and KartSport in Ballymoney have electric karts for children from 4. A pedal kart teaches steering, braking and looking ahead, on private ground at walking-to-cycling speeds. It is not a substitute for a session at a track with the venue's own instruction and safety kit.
Tell us the rider's age and height and we will say which BERG pedal kart fits.
